SynVer*Z has adopted its own approach to understanding the potential impact and effects of individual projects and of BMBF’s City of the Future and Sustainable Transformation of Urban Areas funding initiatives.
To this end, the desired effects, approaches and impact conditions are identified in a survey and during documentary analysis, and then assigned to categories of different types of impacts.
The results of this analysis are then fed back to individual projects and explored in greater detail. The impact categories are continually being developed and adapted as the projects exchange information and discuss their experiences. As they work on their impact potential, projects are supported by being grouped together and networking, as well as by reflecting on the impacts they have. The existing concept of the effectiveness of research projects – as a scientific outcome – is also being developed.
