Climate adaptation and urban resilience strategies
Summer heat has an extremely serious environmental impact, with people in densely populated districts experiencing heat stress. In two sample districts in Dresden and Erfurt, the aim is to reduce this strain by developing, implementing and evaluating adaptation measures in buildings and open spaces. The intention is for these to be innovative, socially fair and acceptable to residents.
