SynVer*Z arranges networking and information sharing between projects in the BMBF’s flagship initiative City of the Future and its Sustainable Transformation of Urban Areas funding programme.
The key tasks of SynVer*Z include networking and knowledge sharing, impact research and method development, synthesis research and transfer and communication.
Responsibility for SynVer*Z is shared by the German Institute of Urban Affairs (Difu) in Berlin, the Institute for Social-Ecological Research (ISOE) in Frankfurt, and Gröschel Branding GmbH in Berlin.
Since late 2017, the core team at SynVer*Z has consisted of eleven employees (from Difu, ISOE and Gröschel Branding). They work together to arrange networking and information sharing between research projects.
Germany’s Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is addressing key issues of sustainable urban development in its Sustainable Transformation of Urban Areas and City of the Future funding programmes.
